Phenazopyridine Hydrochloride is a synthetic, brick-red crystalline solid that is only slightly soluble in cold water and ethanol but is soluble in boiling water, acetic acid, glycerol, ethylene glycol and propylene glycol. It is used orally as a urinary tract analgesic.
